Product Name: 5 Swiss Francs Coin – 1931
Description :
The room of 5 Swiss francs issued between 1931 and 1969, nicknamed "Shepherd's Head", is a historical coin of the Swiss Confederation. Minted in 835 ‰ silver, originally it weighs 15 grams and measure 31.45 mm in diameter, with a thickness of 2.4 mm. Round in shape, and was demonetized on April 1, 1971.
Obverse: The coin features a right-profile portrait of a curly-haired shepherd wearing a hooded shirt, often associated with William Tell. The inscription "CONFOEDERATIO HELVETICA" (Swiss Confederation) surrounds the portrait, with the mention "P. BVRKHARD INCᵀ.", indicating the engraver Paul Burkhard.
Reverse: The reverse shows the Swiss coat of arms surrounded by the face value "5 FR.", the year of minting, and two branches: one of edelweiss and one of gentian, symbolizing the Swiss alpine flora. The letter "B" indicates the mint of Bern.
Slice : The edge of the coin features the raised lettering "DOMINUS | PROVIDEBIT |", meaning "The Lord will provide".
