Product Name: 5 Swiss Francs Coin – 1907
Description :
The room of 5 Swiss francs issued between 1888 and 1916, known as the "Head of Helvetia", is a historical coin of the Swiss Confederation. Minted in 900 ‰ silver, original it weighs 25 grams and measure 37 mm in diameter. Round in shape, and was demonetized on February 1, 1934.
Obverse: The coin features the left profile portrait of Helvetia, a female allegory of Switzerland, with her hair tied back and wearing a gentian crown. The inscription "CONFOEDERATIO HELVETICA" (Swiss Confederation) surrounds the portrait, with the year at the bottom. The engraver of this side is Karl Schwenzer.
Reverse: The reverse shows the Swiss coat of arms surrounded by a crown of oak and laurel branches tied with a ribbon, with a star above. The denomination "5 F" is indicated on either side of the coat of arms, and the letter "B" at the bottom indicates the mint of Bern. The design of this face is attributed to Christian Bühler.
Slice : The edge of the coin is smooth with the raised inscription "DOMINUS PROVIDEBIT", meaning "The Lord will provide".
