Product Name: 5 Swiss Francs Coin Zurich – 1872
Description :
The commemorative coin of 5 Swiss francs issued in 1872 celebrates the Federal shooting from this year to Zurich. Struck in 900 ‰ silver, original it weighs 25 grams and measure 37 mm in diameter. Round in shape, and was demonetized on January 31, 1934.
Obverse: The coin features the coat of arms of Zurich, surrounded by intertwined oak and laurel branches. The German inscription "EIDGENÖSSISCHES.SCHÜTZENFEST.IN.ZÜRICH.1872." appears around it, with the face value "5 Fr." at the bottom. The engraver of this side is Fritz Ulysse Landry.
Reverse: The reverse features a standing female figure, personifying Helvetia, holding a sword and shield adorned with the Swiss cross. The inscription "FÜR FREIHEIT UND VATERLAND" (For Freedom and Fatherland) is arranged around the figure. This side was also engraved by Fritz Ulysse Landry.
Slice : The edge of the coin is smooth.
