Product Name: 2 Swiss Francs Coin – 1901
Description :
The room of 2 Swiss francs issued between 1874 and 1967 is a historical coin of the Swiss Confederation. Minted in 835 ‰ silver, originally it weighs 10 grams and measure 27.4 mm in diameter, with a thickness of 2.09 mm. Round in shape, it has a coin strike orientation and was demonetized on April 1, 1971.
Obverse: The piece represents Helvetia standing, female allegory of Switzerland, dressed in a toga and holding a lance. She leans on a shield decorated with the Swiss cross and is surrounded by 22 stars, symbolizing the Swiss cantons of the time. The inscription "HELVETIA" appears on this side, with the mention "A. BOVY INCᵀ.", indicating the engraver Antoine Bovy.
Reverse: The reverse displays the nominal value "2 Fr." and the year of minting, surrounded by a crown composed of an oak branch and a gentian branch, tied by a ribbon at the base. The engraver of this side is also Antoine Bovy.
Slice : The edge of the coin is striated.
